Oct. 2000 Sumisho-Grainger Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Sumitomo Co., Ltd. and W.W. Grainger, Inc.
B2B internet site www.monotaro.com was launched
Nov. 2001 Began serving all of Japan. Started business in earnest.
Mar. 2002 Opened a distribution center in Higashiosaka, Osaka(14,210 square feet). Expanded to 35,520 square feet in Feb. 2003.
Feb. 2006 Company Name was changed to MonotaRO Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2006 Listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange (Mothers Index)
Jan. 2007 Distribution Center was moved to Amagasaki, Hyogo (258,300 square feet)
